Many people think that our subterranean Michigan Ave. location is the original Billy Goat. Not so. Madison Avenue is where all the fun really began.
Founded in 1934, the original Billy Goat Tavern was located on Madison directly across the street from the old Chicago Stadium. it wasn’t until 1964 that Billy Goat moved to Michigan Ave. and the original location eventually became a parking lot. The United Center currently resides on the property once own by Billy Goat.
Here’s the Billy Goat Inn in 1934:

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Allie Loukas and crew at our Michigan Avenue location. They filmed a scene for Allie’s indie comedy “Like Father, Like Daughter”. Sam even made a cameo with the goat.
Now it’s time to meet the star of the show – Billy Jr.!!!
No lettuce for our cheezborgers…only the goat!
