“Chicago” at Cadillac Palace Theatre: May 10-15, 2016

Murder. Greed. Corruption. Violence. Exploitation. Adultery. Treachery. Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is now the #1 longest-running American musical in Broadway history!

“Disenchanted!” at the Broadway Playhouse: May 10 – June 5, 2016

Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs ’em?! Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that’s anything but Grimm. Forget the princesses you think you know – the original storybook heroines have come back to life to set the record straight. After multiple sold-out runs nationwide, these royal renegades tossed off their tiaras to bring their hilariously subversive, not-for-the-kiddies musical to you – and what you thought about princesses will never be the same! For ages 14 and up.

“Disney’s Beauty & The Beast” at Cadillac Palace Theatre: May 24-29, 2016

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, this eye-popping spectacle has won the hearts of over 35 million people worldwide. This classic musical love story is filled with unforgettable characters, lavish sets and costumes, and dazzling production numbers including “Be Our Guest” and the beloved title song.

The entertainment doesn’t need to stop there. Afterwards, join us for Cheeseburgers, Chips, and a Coke.  No need for a reservation – at Billy Goat Tavern, you can Butt in Anytime.

The Chicago Theater has a little of everything this April!

Chicago+Theater

Chicago Theatre offers variety of Duos, Comedians, and Bands this April.  There’s something for everyone!

Two Cellos: April 2 & 3, 2016

Propelled into international fame in 2011 after their version of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” went viral, 2CELLOS (Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser) continue to wow their fans with dynamic music videos and covers of today’s most classic and popular songs (including their Baroque inspired, yet high octane head-banging video of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”).  This duo have returned to their rock roots with their new album Celloverse, and they have no limits when it comes to performing (and rock out!).

Wanda Sykes: April 6, 2016

You’re in for a good laugh (or two, or three) with “one of the funniest stand-up comics” – Wanda Sykes! From “The Chris Rock Show” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” to “The Wanda Sykes Show” and “Wanda at Large,” it’s no wonder why she has been ranked as one of Entertainment Weekly’s 25 Funniest People in America!

The Avett Brothers: April 21-23, 2016

There’s something powerful in the air, and it’s the Avett Brothers —Seth Avett, Scott Avett, Bob Crawford, and Joe Kwon. They have performed on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman as well as joining legendary Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell for a rapturous Pearl Jam tribute on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. A string of sold out shows followed as the boys continued to dream up their next step. Much like their own music, it promises to continue tradition, while making a decidedly personal statement. If you keep your eyes, mind, and heart open, you’ll undoubtedly feel it.

Get Ready for a Hot March at Chicago Theatre

Chicago Theatre has the hottest tickets in town with fast-selling upcoming performances. What goes great with hot tickets? Yep, a hot cheezborger with chips and a Coke. Sounds like a perfect plan to us!

A Night with Janis Joplin: March 6, 2016
“A Night with Janis Joplin” is a musical journey celebrating Janis and her biggest musical influences – trailblazers like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Odetta, Nina Simone and Bessie Smith, who inspired one of Rock ’n’ Roll’s greatest legends. Like a comet that burns far too brightly to last, Janis Joplin exploded onto the music scene in 1967 and, almost overnight, became the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Audiences will enjoy Joplin’s favorites (featuring Mary Bridget Davies in the starring role), including “Summertime,” “Piece of My Heart,” “Cry Baby,” and “Me and Bobby McGee,” among others.
Trevor Noah: March 26, 2016additional show added by popular demand!
Trevor Noah is known as the most successful comedian in Africa and currently hosts the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program The Daily Show on Comedy Central. He made his U.S. television debut in 2012 on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and also appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, becoming the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on either late night show.
